Now that I've lured you in this is the reaction currently going around on DKos members and their support for Obama and his public statements on FISA...

Some of our support for our candidate "now" hinges on one issue, ONE FUCKING ISSUE.  

Okay you want to stop FISA, well I'm going to help you, I'm going to give you some advice to stop FISA and fan the outrage that has taken DKos by storm the last two weeks.  Learn the ways after the jump.

During the campaign, there was a constant theme of backers of Obama being cult-like in their support for their chosen candidate.  

It even reached the talking points of the Paul Krugman's of the world.

I was one of those "cult members" that so many spoke of.  

But today I had an epiphany that made me see the light and the errors of my ways.

Being a newly indoctrined convert I must spread the good news...

First off this is going to be a very short diary.

This past March, when Texas had their primary, I went to vote.  I've voted before but this time it was different.  I brought my two sons with me (ages 4 and 6).  When we got to the voting precint (a very nice public school in the suburbs of San Antonio)my oldest son could sense the excitement and my youngest was giddy because his older brother was happy.  My oldest son knows Obama from his speeches,the debates and he sat on my lap and "helped" me donate money from time to time.  When we entered the building there was a long line of people voting in the Democratic primary and one person voting in the Republican primary.

According the NYTimes, the Clinton Camp has raised a record (for them) amount of of 35 million dollars!!!!!!  However the according to experts the Obama campaign is claiming to have raised more than the previous record of John Kerry's 44 million in the 04 race, with a staggering amount of 50+ million dollars for Feb.  So the Clinton camp can now take home a moral victory in getting over the 30 million dollar club for the month.  But it should be a short celebration when your opponent raises 50+ million in a short month....  Plus he didn't have to loan himself 5 million dollars.....  

The Iowa Black and Brown Presidential Forum Debate is about to get underway with all of the Candidates present except for Mike Gravel who couldn't make it due to weather.  Dan Rather has it on HDNet and I'm loving the questions he has presented to those in the crowd that had the priviledge of attending....

About a week or so ago turneresq had a diary about a Newsweek article addressing some concerns in some part of Black communities about Senator Barack Obama's authenticity and his commitment to "Black" causes.  In my opinion he knows what is at stake in this struggle for a generation of youth.  I've seen the results of growing up in the projects and ghetto’s where on the 1st and 15th drug dealers pulled 16 hour shifts.  They were selling rocks to their classmate’s parents, brothers and sisters and terrorizing everyone else.  The only time they took off during the summer was to go ball, and like Biggie said you either slang the crack rock or had a mean jump shot, luckily for me I had the latter (not the jumper but a mean handle, my jumper was above average but I was a true PG) and I got out of that life and that mentality using sports as an avenue to the Air Force.  More below.
